About the Site
Sugar Rush was made in December 2021 and named after us! We're the Sugars, and we're part of Bard@Shipwreck's likely OSDD/DID system. We wanted somewhere we could display our petz and have fun talking about them and making up little stories for them and such without making Bard feel like he was pretending to be someone he wasn't on his own site by putting our stuff on there too. We love general cutecore stuff, oldschool petzy aesthetics, simple hexies, and semi-realistic petz. We'd love to have a collection of petz with naturalistic markings and textures, for example, and one of our other big wishes (which Bard shares honestly) is to have a team of 'sled dog' petz!
About the Sugars
Our disorder is our own business, but for the sake of clarity there are some things we do want to talk about relating to it here - we know it can be uncomfortable and confusing to know you're talking to a system member or system members, and you may have some misconceptions about what that means for us or how you should treat us.
So, as mentioned, you probably know us as Bard - that's the current host and main fronter of the (likely!) system we're part of, and the 'face' we usually interact with people through. Unlike many others with OSDD/DID, it's not always clear to us 'who' we are and can be hard for us to even distinguish one alter from another, so we don't usually identify ourselves to other people or 'speak as' anyone but Bard in public - it's really unlikely you're ever going to even know you're talking to someone else unless we're good friends already! 'The Sugars' was coined as a collective term for a small group of us within the system who are very similar to one another; it's not always clear to us if we're one alter or several, so it's easier for us to have a 'collective' name that encompasses all of us rather than trying to pin down who we are or force ourselves to try and act like just 'one' of us.
Although we refer to ourselves as a system, we're still getting used to thinking of ourselves that way. Bard and I don't really want people to start treating us as completely separate individuals when we're not; I/we know all of his friends! They've met me, whether they know it or not! As much as I'd love to make friends on my own, that isn't really possible - we share a consciousness and just don't have distinct enough identities of our own for us to feel like completely separate people. It's the same with the other Sugars - it would be really nice if they could have their own separate experiences from mine, but we're all kind of stuck together, and that's just how it is. Bard is us, and we are Bard. We hope that makes sense!
We hope the above makes things a little clearer, but you're always more than welcome to ask questions as long as they're polite!

Who we are
Our collective pronouns are they/she!
Generally you can just call us the Sugars, but we genuinely and fully don't mind if you talk to us as if we're Bard, because we are Bard, and Bard is us.

There are more of us than this, but these are the ones that both have identifiable names/personalities, are pretty distinct, have an interest in petz and/or being on the site, and that we're comfortable talking about!
Some other petzy things we and the others enjoy are:
- 1st Gens, especially Mutts, Labradors, Sheepdogs, and Maine Coons. We especially love petz with a backstory or strong personalities!
- Low-gen petz, both purebred and mixed. Again, if they have backstories - like being the offspring of some pets you really love, or looking like a mix of their parents - we love them extra.
- Hexies and brexies - we like petz that have a little something extra to make them feel unique!
- Plushies, toys, general 'comfort' themed petz stuff, including toys and clothes. We'd love big sweaters to put our petz in, or toy tags to attach as a clothing item!
- Anything that will help decorate a room, like picture frames, other hangable stuff, pillows, toys, etc.
- Permakittens/permapups, and chunkier-looking petz.
